Melina Valdez is a writer, director, and cinematographer based in New York City. With storytelling, she loves exploring the surreal, the misunderstood, the indescribable, and everything in-between. Her feature length screenplay, Saca Tu Lengua, was selected to be part of the Gotham Lab, the Sundance Producers Intensive and the Tribeca Creators Market. The proof of concept, Weapons and Their Names, premiered at the 2023 Sundance Film Festival and has played at several festivals worldwide.
